In 1956, King Ibn Saud, founder of modern Saudi Arabia commissioned Carrozzeria Ghia (coachbuilders) to make two identical cars for him. One was a 4-door convertble and the other, a 4-door sedan.
Barring the front grille and the engine of the W186, the entire Mercedes-Benz car was revamped. His car had powerful air-conditioning, telephone, foot-board for bodyguards that could be pulled out, a bullet-proof glass screen between the driver and the backseat, etc.
This 4-door sedan was one of the two cars that was made for him. This resin model is an exact replica of the same.
