Replacing the earlier made Mercedes-Benz 190 series model (W110), the W202 made it’s debut in 1993. This C-Class sedan model with a 2.0 litre engine is considered to be an entry-level Mercedes and was designed by Frenchman Olivier Boulay and Turkish German Murat Günak.
By the time production ended in the year 2000, nearly 19 lakh (1.9 million) were produced in factories across Germany, Mexico, Egypt, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam.
