The Mercedes Benz 600 or the W100 was considered as the world's finest car.
It was in the mid-fifties that the house of Daimler Benz asked their Technical Director Dr. Fritz Nallinger to create a vehicle that is extraordinary and was given an 'unlimited' budget. He selected three best from his design team to create the most extraordinary limousine. The styling for this exclusive car was done by the greatest automotive Italian designer Bruno Sacco.
This car had a newly built 6.3-litre V8 engine and its windows, door locks, brakes, etc. were all hydraulic operated.
Famous owners include singers Elvis Presley & John Lennon (Beatles), Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis.
