A range of rugged trucks made by Mercedes-Benz, the ATEGO first debuted in 1998 as the successor to the popular LK series. Produced in Germany, Turkey and Brasil, Mercedes also races them in various truck races.
It was in 2012 that world-famous turntable ladder manufacturer Metz (now owned by Rosenbauer) presented the DLA(K) 23/12 model.
The words DLA stand for Deutsche Ladder Articulated, and the numbers 23 meant 23 metres and 12 signified the year of manufacture. Transmission was from Allision and fully-automatic while a rescue cage that was camera-equipped could carry up to 5 people. There was also a stretcher holder on the bottom of the basket.
