Developed and designed at the Belarus based Minsk Automobile Plant, the MAZ 504 was first produced in 1965. Later, several other variants using more powerful YaMZ (Yaroslavl Motor Plant) 238 engines rolled out.
One of the variants, is this truck tractor model called 504V that was specifically developed for SovTransAuto, a logistics firm formed in communist times for transportation of goods across the Balkans and other communist countries. SovTransAuto was so successful that new Offices were set up in Western nations such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, West Germany (then), etc.
