
Specially designed for the 1962 F1 season, the conception of this car happened after fews sketches that were drawn by Colin Chapman over a dinner with designer, Frank Costin (who designed the Vanwall).
Using a 1.5 litre engine of a British forklift and specialised engine maker Coventry Climax called Coventry FWMV, this mid-mounted engine car took the first trial in May 1961. What was unique about her construction was her rigid body. Jim Clark who drive this car took the Lotus 25 through seven wins in the World Championship in the year 1963.
