Václav Laurin, the mechanic and Václav Klement’s (bookseller) partnership firm made bicycles, that they both loved. They made quite a name in the field of bicycles. Soon after this, they made the first motorcycle.
Next followed by a small 7 HP vehicle in 1905. What was unique about this vehicle was it’s positioning of the water-cooled radiator at the front of the engine that paved the way for future engine designs. As the vehicle was rather small it was named Voiturette (in French).
This is technically Skoda's first passenger car.
