The Lancia Astura was a replacement for the earlier made Lancia Dilambda. 

Produced from 1931-1939, the 1933 third generation model was basically given to coachbuilders so that they could build custom-fit bodies as per their clients taste. These cars with a Lancia made 3.0 litre V8 engines having a single carburettor did find appeal to a wider base of customers after Benito Mussolini gave the directive to use these Lancia Astura models for senior official government delegations.

This scale model is a rendition of the Lancia Astura Tipo 233 with a shorter wheelbase (Corto).
