Launched onboard an Italian aircraft carrier in 2014, the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster made headlines itself on the first day when it’s price was declared at EUR 3.3 million (Rs. 28 crore) excluding taxes.
Only 9 cars were to be produced and they were booked immediately. One was purchased by the son of the former President of Equatorial Guinea, whose car recently went under bidding at an auction house after it was discovered that the car was purchased through ill-gotten means.
Everything about this car has been taken care of – from her aerodynamics, to design, safety, braking distance, power and top speed. Even though this car has no roof but just a roll-bar, the occupant is protected by host of safety features. The entire body is made out specially developed carbon fibre.
This car does 0-100 km/hr in less than 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 355 km/hr.
