
The main idea behind this concept car was to replace the usual alloy steel body work with a frame that is entirely based on composite material.
Therefore (literally) everything of this Lamborghini Countach Evoluzione was made up of composites – front side, centre floor, inside sill, cross members, bulkheads, spare tyre pan frame, etc. All of these were constructed out of Kevlar and carbon fibre that was bonded at 140 degrees. This change of material radically reduced the weight of the original Lamborgini Countach by half a ton.
