The Krupp company that made trucks moved it's production from Essen to Kulmbach before the World War II to escape Allied bombing. As the Krupp company was involved in major arms production, the firm changed its name to "Südwerke" during those days.
The first Titan trucks that were built was marketed as Südwerke Titan and was a very powerful truck those days delivering up to 190 hp power. Several of them were also used to make buses. This bus was used in the city of Essen for transporting public.
