When introduced in 2014, this car that had the same lineage as the Koenigsegg Agera R had no competition, so much so it was simply labelled One : 1 (read more about this below). With more than 1300 hp this was the world’s first mega car. And only 6 were built for the next one year (one was a prototype built). And they got outsold before the cars went into production at US$ 2.4 million each (Rs. 17 crores).
In the field of sports racing the Power-to-weight ratio is a calculation commonly applied to engines and mobile power sources to enable the comparison of one unit or design to another. Power-to-weight ratio is a measurement of actual performance of any engine or power source. And to achieve a figure of 1 : 1 is something that no other manufacturer could produce but it was made possible in One : 1. Also, it was the first car produced to have the adaptability to drive with all types of fuels – petrol, racing fuel and bio-fuel called E85.
Besides the above, the several features the maker provided enhanced the overall design factor of the vehicle – roof air scoop, extended venturi tunnels (the process of reduction in fluid pressure that results when a fluid flows through choke), track optimized aero winglets, rear Triplex suspensions (a Koenigsegg owned design), etc.
