Evolved out of the earlier made 5320 series, the KamAZ made 53212 6x4 model was designed to mainly carry trailers. Equipped with a KamAZ made 11.0-litre 740.10 series diesel engine, these trucks are designed to carry upto 10 tons. 

Produced during the years 1978 – 2000, this truck had space for 3 persons, proper thermal insulation and a heater to provide warmth from the biting cold winters in Russia.

This KamAZ truck model was also fitted with a specially made 2-axle trailer called GKB 8350 that was used to transport goods. This trailer with 8-wheels has a payload capacity of 8.6 tons.
