Unveiled for the first time during the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (also known as JK) in 4-door configuration is a third generation off-road vehicle.
Following the same construction pattern as Jeep’s Willys MB and the CJ series in the past, the Wrangler has a fold-flat windscreen, rigid axles in the front and rear, and 4WD.
The Rubicon* variant was unveiled to the public for the first time in 2018. Part of the JL 2017 series, the word Rubicon meant the ability to go off-road with confidence. The "Recon" is a sub-variant with a redone front end having more rugged tubes and better rock sliders.
* Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is now sold in India.
