Produced for 3 years between 1954-1957, the Jaguar D-Type was constructed only to participate in racing. Everything about this car was hi-tech, be it’s vertical stabilizer or it’s aerodynamic body.
At the 25th edition of Le Mans in France at the Circuit de la Sarthe held on 22-23 June, 1957, this car with a 3.8 litre S6 engine and sponsored by the Scottish Ecurie Ecosse Team having fellow British drivers Ron Flockhart & Ivor Bueb won the race after doing 327 laps.
