Based on the North American model, Kaiser Manhattan, the IKA or Industrias Kaiser Argentina produced model Kaiser Carabela was the first continuously produced Argentinian car having a long and wide body.
Under the bonnet was a 3.5 litre 6-cylinder Continental 6L-2256 engine, with 3-speed manual transmission. Inside the car there was also a factory installed world famous radio brand, RCA. This heavy car could travel at a maximum speed of 100 km/hr.
Over 10,000 units were produced and less than 0.01% were also used as taxis and by luxury taxi operators.
