Based on the Hillman Super Minx, the Humber Sceptre Mark 1 was produced for nearly 13 years beginning 1963. The Rootes Group that produced this car positioned the car above the Hillman and the Singer cars.
But what was unique to the Humber Sceptre Mark I was that it had a design that was more sporty than the usual Humber’s. With a 1.6 litre engine and several ‘luxury’ features added such as front disc brakes, reversing lights, odometer etc. the Rootes Group produced over 17,000 cars.
A rare Humber collectible.
