
This sub-compact range of cars from Honda first appeared in July 1972 and was a 2-door model. After 2 months another 3 door hatchback model was introduced to the public in Japan.
The 1987 model of Honda Civic is a 4th generation vehicle that was given a complete overhaul as far as design is concerned. In South Africa, this model was known as the Honda Ballade. This model was made in several countries including New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Canada.
