After taking over the management of automobile firm Paige-Detroit, the three brothers of Graham Motor Co. renamed the new firm as Graham-Paige in 1927. However the new firm started making losses forcing the brothers to join hands with another firm called Hupp Motor Co. The brothers got in to an understanding to assemble cars Cord brand cars, using dies of the famous Cord 810. This new car model was the, Hupmobile Skylark.
It was while making these Skylark's, that the Graham brothers decided to produce their own model called Hollywood.
With a powerful 3.5 litre engine, the Graham Hollywood had a successful run during it's first year and popularity soared. However, the factory could not keep up pace with the demands of the people, resulting in longer waiting periods. After about a year, sales started slipping down forcing the firm to stop producing this models.
By the time production ended, over 2500 cars were made.
