Developed during the first part of the 1990s when taxi drivers and executives of large state-owned firms were seeking a more spacious car, GAZ (Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod) came up with this model called the 3110.
Though this model (popularly known as the Volga) tried to emulate western cars with features such as a well-laid out dashboard, cigarette lighter, air-conditioning and powerful heaters, the model had several hiccups related to the smooth performance of its engines. Yet, it was the preferred car over all other tourist cars and taxi drivers because of her large space.
This metal scale model is a rendition of the Taxis that was used in Moscow, the capital city of the then Soviet Union or USSR as was known.
