Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod (GAZ) model 11-73 was a successor to the earlier model called the M1. The first car that came out of the factory was in 1938, but underwent further improvements until these finally rolled out for sales in 1941.
With an improved engine (copied from the 1937 Dodge D5), the new engine gave a power output of 76 hp. The main difference between the GAZ 11-73 and her predecessor was her new front grille, improved radiator, better instrument panel and more smoother suspension. This car came with a 3-speed suspension.
The model was produced until 1948.
