
Sold under the name Fordson (Ford made agricultural and commercial products), the WOT1 (War Office Truck, Series 1) was developed in 1940 to be used for various purposes such as mobile clinics, transporting spares, etc. for the military.
With a 30 HP Ford engine, the 4-wheel drive WOT1 could travel up to 70 km/hr carrying a payload of 3 ton.
This particular scale model in metal is a replica of the ones that were used as Crash Tenders by the RAF (Royal Air Force) and was equipped with fire extinguishers, separate tanks for water and foam, searchlights and all other emergency equipments.
