Ford Model T Speedster Scale - 1:43

The year 1909 changed the way how a commoner looked at a car. It was with the introduction of the Ford Model T in 1909 that made basic transportation easy and convenient. While a basic car would cost only US$ 450 in 1913, Henry Ford devised a plan to make more profits out of his creation through value addition.

So the Speedster was created in 1913 by making some alterations to its original design. He lowered the chassis by 4 inches, got the wheelbase extended and tuned up the engine to give it more power. The top part of the body was given some dressing such as single windshield (monocle), light wire wheels, etc. All these small improvements made the Speedster travel faster by 25% than the basic Model T.

For several decades the small principality of Liechtenstein (near Germany) is known for its stamps. Its philatelic division also sells scale model cars of few models. All these are rendition in 1:43 scale.
