What started as an attempt to revive old-world magic brands such as Ford Thunderbird and Ford Mustang ended up as a successful new brand called the Ford GT. Produced at the Ford plant in Ontario, Canada this car is a mid-engine 2-seater super car.
This car has several firsts, namely the ship-in-a-bottle fuel tank, a technology that has been developed by a German firm wherein all the fuel delivery components such as electronic panels pump, etc. are enclosed within the blow-moulded plastic fuel tank so as to lessen fuel emission. The second innovation was the use of a glass type that is used for mobiles i.e. Gorilla glass (by Corning) allowing Ford to use a thinner windscreen without compensating strength.
This scale model is a second generation car and first rolled out in 2017.
