While the World War II was raging, car production for the civilian population stopped as automobile makers catered to military production. And so like others, the Ford Motor Company had number of car auto parts that had piled up in factory locations. Henry Ford saw this as an opportunity to develop a new car model and call it the 1946 range. The first model that rolled out in 1946 was a Super DeLuxe Tudor Sedan.
Other versions followed with 100 hp engine capacity. One of the models was the Ford Fordor Sedan. A number of these cars were used in Istanbul, Turkey as Taxis in the year 1947.
