Using the same unibody construction of the earlier made FIAT 1400, the FIAT 1900 was presented to the public first during the 1954 Geneva Auto Show.
With a more refined interior this car with a more powerful 70 hp engine was also produced in Germany as the FIAT NSU and in Austria as FIAT Steyr. During her next 5 years of production, about 20,000 cars rolled out (only 2500 cars of the ‘B’ variant were produced).
The Gran Luce variant with shiny metallic paint was introduced by FIAT for the benefit of those who liked the fashionable concept of dual tone colours, large side-windows and windscreen.
