The FIAT made 1100 that was launched way back in 1937 (this model with suicide doors was also made in India and commonly known as Dukkar FIAT) was already a very popular model that remained unchanged for a very long time.
Then at 1953 during an Auto show in Paris, a new version was launched and this new model with a more powerful engine was named 1100 TV (Turismo Veloce, in Italian it means ‘Fast Touring’).
After two years FIAT once again launched a new 2-seater roadster version with a more powerful engine. The design of this car was all American and was named as FIAT 1100 TV Trasformabile*. Sales began immediately. Further improvements were made to the suspension that further increased sales. In all about 1000 of these cars were produced.
