Also referred as the Messerschmitt Tiger, the firm Fahrzeug und Maschienenbau GmbH (FMR) who made the FMR Tg 500 Roadster microcar (nicknamed Tiger) borrowed the plant and technology from Messerschmitt who were earlier making the same model KR 200. With some design changes, this new model immediately caught the public eye.
This microcar had a straight twin 500 cc engine and drove at a top speed of 125 km/hr. Designed by aeronautical engineer Fritz Fend (who to his credit also built another microcar Fend Flitzer), this car had seating arrangement in tandem.
About 400 cars were produced. This replica is the convertible version of the Tiger.
