Owner and shareholder of the FIAT Group, Gianni Agnelli wanted a small vehicle that could be kept on his yacht 'Agneta' while he did his cruising along the Mediterranean sea. So he commissioned Turin based bodybuilder, Carrozzeria Ghia to create one.
Designer Sergio Sartorelli from the firm steps in and creates the Ghia Jolly that was modified out of the FIAT 600 Multipla. With open sides and chrome piping, this car model were deployed as Taxis during the prestigious 1961 EXPO held in the city of Turin.
