This car model that was just 20 inch longer than the Mini Cooper was possible as the driver’s seat was pushed over to sit over the front axle. Borrowing components from other FIAT models such as the FIAT 600 (drivetrain) and the FIAT 1100 (front suspension) this car can have the label of the world’s first microcar MPV carrying up to 6 passengers with just a 630 cc engine (later a 765 cc engine was added).
During her 13 years of production between 1956 – 1969, that rolled nearly 130,000 MPV’s the FIAT 600 Multipla was an all-time hit with several variants – taxis, vans, etc.
Studer was a very famous toy shop in Italy for nearly 3 decades from the 1960s. Based in the capital island city of Sicily, Studer’s first shop opened up in Palermo at Principe di Belmonte, followed by three more in Emilia, Libertà and at Marchese di Roccaforte.
This scaled down metal model is the exact replica of the FIAT car that was used to promote ‘metal toy cars’ for kids.
