A van that was a joint venture between two car producers, Citroen and FIAT, it was known as the FIAT 242 in Italy and as Citroen C35 in France.
FIAT with Abarth (racing division) raced their 131 that was developed specifically for racing in various events across Europe.
To transport these FIAT 131 models, several vans with the Alitalia livery (partners of FIAT for racing) used these FIAT 242 vans on to which trailers were latched.
