The FAMO was a very heavy-duty German made half-track vehicle that saw a lot of action during World War II. Power to this massive vehicle was provided by Maybach made 12-cylinder, 11-litre petrol engine. With two fuel tanks that could take 320 litres of petrol, these massive vehicles could carry large payload over large distances.
The FLAK was a German made 88mm Anti-aircraft and Anti-artillery gun that was used widely during World War II. An abbreviated form of the German word Flugzeugabwehr Kanone (Aircraft defence cannon), the word FLAK became a generic name for any type of anti-aircraft gun. Few soldiers also called it Acht-Acht (8-8, in German).
This metal scale model has the FAMO towing the FLAK 88 mm Anti-aircraft gun.
