The Duple Bodies & Motors company came up with the Roadmaster model in 1950 after road transport rules ensured that a bus coach cannot exceed 30 ft. in length and 8 ft in width. Nicknamed as “Iron Duke” because of her small windows and higher waistline.
This particular bus operated in a village in Lancashire, UK called Bamber Bridge.
