Dodge Charger R/T – Dick Landy Scale - 1:18

The Dodge Charger was first built in 1964 and over a period of time was built on various platforms rolling out several variants such as sedans, coupes, hatchback, etc. One of the platform and known as the B-body was used to make the first Road and Track (R/T) variant in 1966. With separate badging, this car came equipped with special brakes, tyres, suspensions and powerful engines.

In a racing career that spanned nearly 5 decades, Dick Landy or ‘Dandy’ influenced the Chrysler Motor Co. in several ways. That's because, he was racing Dodge built cars in drag racing throughout the late 1960s and the entire 1970s.

In one famous Super Stock Class editions of1970, Dick Landy participating in his favourite Dodge Charger R/T with a 426 HEMI (or Hemispherical Combustion Chambers) engine won that race.
