When Delahaye launched the 235 Coach in 1951, it was solely to counter the growing popularity of the Hotchkiss made Anjou and the Grégoire models.
With a 6-cylinder 3.5 litre engine, three Solex made carburettors, this car with 152 hp took the car to speeds of 180 km/hr. The basic car included a 4-speed Cotal design gearbox, Bendix brakes, etc. Few of the cars were also provided to the bespoke builders of their time—Franay, Pennock, Figoni, Saoutchik, and Chapron to create masterpieces that suited their clientele's taste.
This model was produced until 1954.
