Dallara Mugen Honda F301 - Macau GP - Winner Scale - 1:43

Italian chassis specialists Dallara, is known the world over for their knowledge in making the best of the Formula car chassis. They have built cars that have participated in world races such as ADAC Formel Masters (German open wheel racing series), IndyCar Series (American open wheel racing series), Indy Lights (American developmental automomobile racing series), FIA Formula 2 Championship, etc. 

Mugen Motorsports is a company that was formed by the son of the founder of Honda. Hirotoshi Honda who runs this company along with Honda's largest shareholder, Masao Kimura fine tunes and races their Honda car models in various championships.

It was both these companies that developed the F301 and raced it at the 2001 Macau Grand Prix in the Formula Three category. Japanese driver Takumo Sato created a record of sorts on 18th November, 2001 when he became the first Japanese driver in history to win the race at Macau. 

This is what Sato said after this race,
"I am totally happy now. This is obviously my last major F3 Grand Prix race ever and I am so happy to come back here. It is always difficult to race here but in the end I drove so hard, enjoyed my racing and won. This was something I wanted very much to achieve and now I have done it – it was one of my biggest challenges so far and I am so pleased to have succeeded."
