The 1961 Daihatsu Midget was the second generation model of the original 1957 model that had 3 wheels, single seat, no doors and handlebar steering.
Whereas the new generation had a steering wheel, could seat 2 adults and for safety was provided with 2 doors. It had a 'quarter' glass at the front that could be pushed open for better air circulation and had tempered glass for safety. The seats were also heavily cushioned for comfortable rides.
This 2nd Generation Midget model was used by the Postal Department in Japan.
