This first generation Daihatsu Midget had a handle bar steering and did not have any doors and introduced to the public in 1957. The engine was an air-cooled, 2-stroke engine of 250 cc. For 4 years these were produced before the 2nd generation model was introduced.
Primarily utilitarian in design, it served the common needs of the people during the struggling years of Japan.
