DKW 3=6 - F94 Universal Scale - 1:43

The DKW 3=6 from communist East Germany was introduced at a time when the West German-made Volkswagen Beetle was already creating waves in Europe. This car was labelled "3=6" as it carried a 2-stroke, 3-cylinder 900 cc engine whose performance was equivalent to any 4-stroke, 6-cylinder engine.

Its first variant, launched during the 1953 Frankfurt Auto Show, was the F91. By the time the F94* variant with a slightly longer wheelbase was released in 1957, this model was already popular in several communist countries and was also produced in distant Argentina.

This scale model is a replica of their 3-door estate version called the "Universal".

* The DKW Monza is the F94's sports variant.
