The Citroen Mehari was an off-road compact SUV and a variant of the popular Citroen 2CV. More than 140,000 Mehari's were built over a 20-year period between 1968 and 1988.
This scale model is a variant of their 4x4 that was introduced in 1979. After making nearly 1500 units for civilian purposes, Citroen started making them for the French army since they bagged an order for a little less than 5000 units.
