Originally a FIAT made Ducato model, this van model was also produced in France by a separate firm called Società Europea Veicoli Leggeri (a FIAT – Peugeot joint-venture) who sold these and marketed them under different brand names – Citroën Jumper, Citroën Relay (in the UK) and Peugeot Boxer. Most of them had a 2.6 litre engine.
Many of these vans were used as Trailers to carry Citroen made Xsara WRC (World Rally Championship) models to race tracks during the 2001 season. These trailers were provided with a tilting roof to protect the car from external elements.
This particular rally transporter van carried the 2.8 FIAT HDi engine.
