A simple front wheel drive van, the Citroen HY (also made in other variant called Type H) were produced between 1947 and 1981. Nearly 500,000 were produced during these 34 years.
CIJ (Compagnie Industrielle du Jouet) was a French brand that was founded in 1920 and made diecast models associating itself with Citroen and later Renault.
The company became more famous in 1950 after it made an attempt to make metal models with Ramec (a combination of aluminium, copper, zinc and magnesium) that was different than Zamac (a zinc-based alloy),
In 2007 Norev bought the brand CIJ and has now started reproduction of old models as in the 1950s and 1960s.
