Citroen Ami 6 Scale - 1:18

Ami’ means, a friend in French.

Developed by Citroen in 1961 as an alternative to the Citroen 2CV, this 600 cc engine car was nicknamed the "3CV". It was rolled out so that people would switch their tastes from the rounded 2CV to the boxy and square shaped Citroen Ami.

Designed by a former Italian sculptor, Flaminio Bertoni (not to be confused with the Italian design studio, Bertone), this model became very popular and, during its next 17 years of production, these were also produced in erstwhile Yugoslavia, Spain, and distant Argentina.

The Ami 6 (variant) could be identified by a reverse-raked notchback rear window and was first produced in 1961. Almost 5 lakh (500,000) units were produced.
