MEGUIAR a well-known brand from France that produces several types of car protection products, once organised a contest on Facebook to discover the best Lead Sled* car in France. The winner was promised a trip to the USA to participate at a show in Las Vegas.
The car that won that contest was a Citroen 2CV owned by a couple from Bordelais - Barbara and Stephen. It was their idea to convert France’s best known symbol instead of taking the usual Oldsmobile 88 or a Mercury Eight, the cars usually taken for chopped roof modification.
The car was widened by few centimetres, lowered by 40 cms, given 17 inch wheel rims that carried 217 mm wide tyres.
* Lead Sled is a model that is heavily modified from a standard production car, where the mechanic takes the body of the car and re-shapes the entire panel body with the use of special hand tools.
