The 2CV, or 2 Cheveaux (pronounced "DU-shu-VOH"), meaning 2 steam-powered horses, were made from 1948 until 1990, making it the second-largest made car in the world.
As the eighties were approaching and people’s taste had already changed to modern cars, Citroen wanted to retain some of the 2CV magic, therefore prompting them to first come up with a smaller 435cc engine under the name "Special" in 1975. This was followed by another model called the Dolly, and the Club. However, what caught the public’s attention was this combination of the burgundy red and black colour through this model called the Citroen 2CV Charleston.
