
Chrysler SS (Styling Special) first appeared at the 1952 Paris Auto Show. At a time when Chrysler was going through a bad financial times, work was commissioned to Virgil Exner who was the Designer for Chrysler.
It had elements of Continental styling with long hood and short deck, sides of the body curved less and a grille that was an inverted trapezoid. It had vertical bumpers and wire wheels.
