Chrysler first used the Newport name in the 1940s when it produced few cars for automobile shows. Then in 1950, it used the same name for few models and after ten years introduced a new range of Newport’s.
Introduced in several variants, this 1961 model was called the Chrysler Newport Sedan. This model came with 2-different V8 engine options, one with a 6.8 litre and the other with a 6.3 litre engine.
