Used for the first time as a display piece model in 1940, the name Newport was used by Chrysler for a number of models made during the years 1961 – 1981.
For this 1967 model, Chrysler used a platform that was the same as the Plymouth Fury and the Dodge Polara. Chrysler Newport cars had full wall-to-wall carpeting, bucket seats (a novelty then), center arm-rest, etc. Its double headlight position was uniquely placed for maximum distribution of light.
A rare collectible with only 1000 pieces created.
