Chevrolet Opala - Stock Car V8 – Winner Scale - 1:43

The name for this Brazilian Chevrolet model evolved from two GM (General Motors) brands, Opel and Impala. Having evolved from the German Opel-made Rekord Series-C, the Chevrolet Opala was a mid-sized sedan car and was produced for nearly twenty-five years.

Also known as Stock Car V8, Stock Car Brasil is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil. It is considered the major South American motorsports series, having begun way back in 1979.

In its inaugural race, in 1979, Paulo Gomes, driving this Chevrolet Opala, became the First Champion of Stock Car V8 Brazil.
