It was in 1967 that Chevrolet introduced a new segment of vehicles in the commercial segment. Designed to be robust these series of trucks called the Series 40, 50, 60 and 70 was meant to complete the range from medium-duty to heavy-duty that had a high degree of manoeuvrability.
Powered by either DDC (Detroit Diesel Co.) engines or Chevrolet’s owned Big Block 366 V8 petrol engine, these trucks gained a lot of popularity especially in South America. These trucks were also made in Brazil.
